Eligibility For Membership 

Section 1 of By-Laws.   There will be three types of membership open to all persons who are in good standing with the AKC.

A.  Members (18 years and older)

B.  Junior Members (8 years to 18 years)

C.  Honorary Members (individuals believed by the Board of          Directors to be worthy of recognition may be conferred the      title of Honorary member)

While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the club's primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors in its immediate area.

Dues (Currently $20 Per Year)

Section 2 of By-Laws.  Membership dues are to be set from time to time by the Board of Directors with the consent of the membership and entered into the Minutes of the Club.  Dues are payable on or before the first day of January of each year. No member may vote whose dues are not paid for the current year.  During the month of November, the Secretary shall send to each member a statement of his or her dues for the ensuing year.

Qualifications For Membership

Section 3 of By-Laws.  Election To Membership.  Each applicant for membership will apply on a form as approved by Board of Directors and which shall provide that the applicant agrees to abide by this  Constitution and By-Laws and the rules of the AKC and the DPCA.  Accompanying the application, the prospective member will submit dues payment for the current year and the endorsement of two members in good standing. All applications are to be filed with the Secretary and each applications is to be read at the first meeting of the Club, the application voted upon and affirmative votes of three-fourths of the members present and voting at the meeting will be required to elect the applicant.  Members approved for membership in October through December will have their membership date as of January 1st.  Junior members and honorary members only need the endorsement of two members in good standing. Applicants for membership who have been rejected by the club may not re-apply within six months after such rejection.
