The DPC of Reno held its 28th and 29th specialty shows on September 2, 2011. For the first time the club moved indoors and what a joy! While it was hot, hot, hot outside, we had air conditioning, no bees, and lots of happy exhibitors. There was a big silent auction/raffle and the club members hosted a luncheon for all attendees. The club also provided questionnaires to exhibitors in order to improve next year's events. Both of the judges were provisional breeder judges. There were no veterans at either specialty. The club decided to eliminate Sweepstakes as there were complaints that it was too much for the puppies in the extreme heat that has prevailed for the last couple of years. The DPC of Reno gave a supported entry to both of the specialty clubs that provided all breed obedience that day. Unfortunately there were no Dobermans entered in either of those trials.
